Our cadet Ritesh Kumar Nayak was awarded with Chief Minister’s trophy on NCC Day in the state level function, held at Bhubaneswar on 26.11.2017.He was awarded with a certificate, a gold medal and a cash award of Rs 7500 /- from Captain Sj. Dibya Shankar Mishra, MLA on behalf of the Chief Minister, Odisha.
Our cadet Madhab Chandra Gouda was awarded with the Governor’s Trophy on the NCC Day in the state level function, held at Bhubaneswar on 26.11.2017.He was awarded with a certificate, a gold medal and a cash award of Rs 10000/- from His Excellency, Sj. S. C. Jamir, the Governor of Odisha.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)
SARASWATI VIDYA MANDIR, DAMANJODI
The school has been permitted to start NCC (Naval) Junior Division from the year 1998 with 50 nos. cadet strength in presence of Commanding Officer Narayan Das. NCC unit gives the opportunity to students to develop leadership qualities, patriotism and discipline. Every year, cadets will be enrolled by the NCC officer immediately after the start of the first year. Each cadet must observe the code of conduct in the NCC. NCC cadet should help/cooperate to maintain the discipline on the college campus. Cadets are given opportunity to participate in various camps arranged by 1 Orissa Naval Unit NCC, Berhampur. Cadets can appear for A certificate examinations after successful completed Annual Training Camp. While taking admission and jobs the cadets successful at the A certificate examinations have the added advantage.

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

Achievements of Annual Training Camp – 2015
Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Nalco Township, Damanjodi NCC unit has attended 10 days Annual Training Camp from 16 – 25 August 2015, held at SMIT, Chandipader Berhampur organized by 1(Orissa) Naval Unit NCC. There were 16 schools and 7 college boys and girls cadets from different district in the camp. During the camp different types of trainings has been given to the cadets like parade, drill, firing, knowledge about NCC organization and Indian Navy. Besides camp various competitions among the different school was organized by the NCC authority. Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Nalco Township, Damanjodi NCC unit has bagged following achievements during the camp period.
